The person will be responsible for driving the Technology changes for the Cargo Salesforce platform and the entire Sales ecosystem. This position requires a deep expertise across the Salesforce platform and a strong knowledge in business acumen, vendor management, and leadership.

Responsibilities: Be fully responsible of the entire Salesforce platform, including configuration, software development, customization, enhancements, data quality and security.Provide a deep technical expertise across the Salesforce suite of products: Sales and Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Einstein Analytics, Tableau CRM, Service Cloud Voice, Data Cloud and Loyalty module.Demonstrate proficiency on Salesforce API development for advanced customization and integration.Lead a team of developers and specialists that build, deliver, and maintain the Salesforce platform as per desired technology architecture and business requirements while ensuring highest quality of end user experience.Monitor and optimize the performance, scalability and security of the platform, ensuring high availability and responsiveness.Ensure data integrity, security, efficient data flows across the platform as well as data quality and compliance with relevant data privacy regulations. Support and manage other Global Corporate programs, Small and Medium Business, Agency Sales systems.Manage access and permissions for these platforms, ensuring appropriate user provisioning and security.Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends and recommend innovative solutions to enhance the system capabilities.Build and maintain strong relationships with the business teams, IT cross functional teams, vendors and relevant stakeholders to plan and deploy platform components and features aligned with key business objectives and technology requirements.Develop the Salesforce platform value proposition by deeply understanding the business pain points and future needs, and by delivering an innovative technology roadmap that addresses them. Act as an evangelist of the platform capabilities, help the business teams implement new modules and new ways of doing.Evaluate and improve team processes, workflows, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Participate in implementing an agile framework to manage and prioritize the expectations of various stakeholders while maintaining the platforms stability and performance.Act as IT SME on large Sales initiatives ensuring stakeholders are consulted on decisions and kept abreast of status, risks and issues.Responsible for maintaining a healthy work environment including development of personal growth opportunities for reporting employees.Communicate job expectations, monitoring, and appraising employee performance.Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.Support Air Canada’s governance strategies by ensuring the application platforms are operating within the defined SDLC, ITIL and Cyber risk frameworks.Ensure alignment and compliance with internal IT standards related to operations, quality, and security.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, or related field.Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform App Builder, Developer) are highly valued. 7+ years of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, 3+ managing teams in a large, complex organizations.Extensive knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Tableau, and other modules.Experience with CRM, CMS, and other digital platforms.Hand-on experience with development within the Salesforce platformExperience with identity and access management, as well as with other security aspects of the Salesforce platform (data security, access controls)Experience with developing external portals using the Salesforce platform, an assetExperience with data management, integration, and API development.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Proven leadership and team management skills.Exceptional analytical, organizational and communication skills.Self-motivated and autonomous worker, capable of motivating others.Results oriented with a proactive and methodical approach to problem solving.Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.A team player with capability to work closely and cooperatively with diverse groups and working styles.Ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships.Flexibility and willingness to work extended hours when required.Willingness to delegate responsibility and to work with others and coach them to develop their capabilities.Fluent in French (spoken and written) is a plus.
