Synopsis
To resume control and responsibility of assigned groups of painters and other assigned duties to ensure a high end quality product.
Accountabilities
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports to the Manager Fleet Appearance and is responsible for the completion of all assigned duties to the acceptable standards with relation to Safety and Airworthiness. Responsible for the control of a group of paint staff as assigned. Responsible for the certification of all work within the scope of company approvals To ensure that all equipment used in the performance of duties is satisfactory for use, not mishandled and returned after use. Responsible for safety within the immediate working area and creating awareness of safety to others under his control at all times. Promotes Health and Safety into the work place together with being responsible for general housekeeping of his work area. Ensures that safety regulations are complied with at all times, that all staging/docking is correctly installed and continues to remain so for the duration of all paint inputs. Ensures that all aircraft documentation related to his work is completed to the required standard and man hours are recorded properly. Fully understands company policies and safety procedures. Ensure all performance related target passed on to all staff and appraisals completed on staff performance.
Education & Experience
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Degree/Diploma in aviation field with background in aircraft interior/exterior painting. Formal basic aircraft maintenance paint training or equivalent. Hold company approval. Minimum 3 to 5 years of Aircraft Maintenance paint experience in interior/exterior. Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role. Ability to work independently and possess supervisory skills to take charge and lead a team. Makes sound and effective decisions. Awareness of good housekeeping. Good knowledge of legal/Technical Procedure Manual(TPM) Experience of estimation of time, man hours and required materials. Ability to read and understand livery drawings. Ability to understand Aircraft mauals ie AMM/IPC/CMM. Awareness of Health and Safety Human Factors, documentation and PPE. Supervisory and Management training. Knowledge of waste management system and implementation.About Etihad Airways
