As Regional HR Director, you will be a key advisor in building organizational capability & effectiveness, developing future leaders, and ensuring the companys HR practices support growth and enable operational execution across the sites. Core Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership
- Serve as strategic advisor to regional and site leadership, aligning people strategies with business objectives/operational priorities.
- Translate business plans into workforce, talent, and organizational strategies that enable business execution and growth.
- Partner with Compensation, Benefits, Talent Management & Acquisition, Learning and Organizational Effectiveness to ensure enterprise initiatives are effectively deployed and aligned with regional needs in alignment with Talent Management System.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Lead standardization/CI of HR processes across the sites, leveraging data & analytics to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance workforce productivity, engagement, and compliance.
- Apply lean and operational excellence principles to HR service delivery and organizational design.
- Implement and maintain clear metrics and dashboards to measure HR impact on the business to reinforce accountability.
Talent Management & Organizational Development
- Execute regional talent review and succession planning processes to build bench strength and leadership capability.
- Drive workforce planning aligned to capacity, growth, and operational demands.
- Partner with leaders to strengthen performance management, coaching, development, and employee engagement.
- Champion talent acquisition strategies to attract, select, and retain high-performing and developable talent.
Change Leadership & Culture
- Be a change agent, guiding leaders and teams through organizational transformations, key initiatives and improvements.
- Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on employee relations, organizational and complex people matters.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Proactively manage employee relations matters with sound judgment, discretion, and a solutions-oriented approach. Ensure consistent, fair, and compliant application of policies and practices across all sites.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including multi-site responsibility within a manufacturing environment. Experience in aerospace or other regulated manufacturing industries preferred.
- Demonstrated success as a strategic HR business partner supporting operational leaders.
- Strong background in talent management, organizational development, workforce planning, and HR analytics.
- Experience driving cultural transformation and CI initiatives and ability to lead change in fast-paced, complex environments.
- Solid understanding of employment law, compliance, and best practices. M&A and integration experience a plus.
- Based in Connecticut, periodic travel to regional sites is required.
Education Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline required. Masters degree or HR certification (SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
