The Apache Academy (ApAc) provides AH-64 synthetic training to our MoD customer. ApAc Engineering supports the continuity of training delivery through pro-active and reactive maintenance of synthetic training equipment.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assists with repairs and tests, installs, configures, upgrades and assists in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software
• Performs general inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and component handling of training devices, assemblies and components
• Assists with functional tests of training device systems and monitors device instrumentation
• Assist with troubleshooting systems, support equipment to isolate faults and repair faulty components
• Works under supervision
• Develop and enhance existing processes and procedures to drive continuous improvement within ApAc Engineering
• First line support to building and infrastructure systems

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Good level of experience with electronic/electrical systems/engineering/computers/networking.
• Excellent organization and computing skills.
• The ability to obtain UK Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Time served indentured apprenticeship (Simulator/Avionics/Electronics/Engineering)
• NVQ level 3 Electrical/Electronics/Avionics
• Proficient with Microsoft office applications.
• Experience on flight simulators and training equipment.
• Knowledge of the Military Air Environment and associated governance.

This position will be based onsite full time and will operate on a shift pattern of alternate weeks of early shift (0700 – 1500) and late shift (1500 - 2300)
