Are you a certified NDI Technician with expertise in Ultrasonic Testing (A-Scan and Thickness)? Do you take pride in using advanced Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) techniques to ensure the integrity and safety of aerospace components? PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team in Kinston, NC, working with cutting-edge aerospace materials to maintain the highest industry standards.
Your Role & Impact
As an NDI Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of aerospace components using advanced non-destructive inspection methods. Your expertise will directly contribute to the structural integrity and performance of high-value aerospace materials, particularly graphite composites.
What You’ll Do:

Perform Ultrasonic Testing (A-Scan and Thickness) to evaluate aerospace materials without causing damage
Set up, standardize, and operate NDI equipment to inspect components in compliance with engineering specifications
Interpret and evaluate inspection results for acceptance or rejection and document findings
Develop and refine inspection techniques from approved procedures for final approval
Conduct system performance checks in accordance with industry standards
Provide guidance, supervision, and training to trainees and lower-level technicians
Perform audit surveillance on NDI processes and document any non-conformances
Interpret and apply industry codes, standards, and contractual requirements
Ensure the NDI facility, equipment, and staff meet technical and regulatory requirements
Prepare, verify, and approve procedures and work instructions
Lead the training, examination, and certification of personnel in NDI methods
Complete a General Exam on Day 1 and a Specific & Practical Exam within the first week

What You Need to Succeed:
Required:

NAS-410 Certification with proof of Ultrasonic Testing (UT) hours, signed off by a Level III NDI
Level I and Level II training certifications plus an additional 800 hours of Ultrasonic Testing experience
Expertise in Ultrasonic Testing (A-Scan and Thickness)
Experience with Graphite Composites in the Aerospace Industry
Ability to work 2nd shift and commit to high-precision work in a demanding environment

Pay Details: $60.00 to $65.00 per hour
