STS Technical Services is hiring A&P Mechanics to join our growing team in Tucson, Arizona. If you’re a licensed technician with experience in aircraft maintenance and a passion for high-quality work, this opportunity offers long-term contract stability, overtime potential, and the chance to work on CRJ and commercial aircraft in a dynamic MRO environment.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and perform maintenance on aircraft systems
- Accurately document all maintenance actions in accordance with FAA regulations
- Train and assist other technicians or contractors when needed
- Adhere to company policies and work rules while maintaining a safe and efficient environment
Job Requirements:
- Current FAA A&P License or Airframe (A) License required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Aircraft Technician
- MRO experience preferred
- CRJ airframe experience a plus
- Military aircraft maintenance experience (Depot/Isochronal/Phase inspections) is a plus
- Familiarity with FAA documentation, parts catalogs, and maintenance manuals
- Must meet FAA Title 14 CFR Part 65 language requirements (read/write/speak English)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must provide a complete aviation tool kit and demonstrate tool control
- Must pass a criminal background check and FAA drug and alcohol screening
- Basic computer skills required
- Willing and able to work 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Essential Job Functions:
- Collaborate in a high-stress, fast-paced team environment
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Maintain strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, with frequent standing, walking, and climbing
- Perform aircraft maintenance in both hangar and ramp environments (FAR Part 135)
