Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Supplier Quality Specialist to support the Mid-Central Region Supplier Quality Operations in the St. Louis area!
Position Responsibilities:
- Engage in early quality involvement with Boeing program(s) and supplier(s) to assist in developing effective quality oversight plans that positively influence the suppliers Quality Management System (QMS) health and performance
- Effectively communicate and provide feedback to supplier regarding development and performance
- Assist in performing data analysis to determine supplier defect reduction product and process targets
- Assist with the development and maintenance of risk based proactive oversight plans based on supplier maturity and performance levels
- Assist in providing support to other Boeing divisions as required
- Document and effectively report audit and assessment results
- Assist with quality reviews and actively participate in program/customer reviews at suppliers
- Ensure Boeing and the Supplier(s) have a thorough understanding of requirements and capabilities
- Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities
- Assist with the development of training materials and other resources to support improvements in supplier performance and productivity
- Inspect/verify product conformance and process compliance with applicable requirements
- Assist with supplier operational capability and capacity studies
- Investigate and assist with the resolution of concerns to ensure compliance with requirements
- Assist with capability and capacity supplier assessments performing current or potential future work
- Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions
- Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances
- Assist with audits and assessments of suppliers systems, processes and products
- Works under general direction, self motivated
- Must Pass Boeing vision certification requirements
- Utilization of Boeing processes & system
This position is Hybrid, meaning that the candidate will not report to a Boeing Site. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at Supplier locations. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience working in Quality, Supplier Quality or Supplier Management
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, Power Point, OneNote, SharePoint and Teams.
- 3+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, 3D Modeling, and specifications.
- 3+ years of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA).
- Possess a current valid Drivers License
- Have the use of a personal vehicle to travel for business reasons
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Project Management related experience
- Experience in assembly or mechanical work including Structural Assembly Build-up
- Familiarity and hands-on experience with avionics, electrical and/or electronics
- Special Processes (i.e. Chemical Processing, Heat Treat, and/or Non-destructive Testing)
- Computer Aided Drawings (CAD), Digital Product Definition (DPD) and Model Based Definition (MBD) requirements

Summary pay range: $88,400 – $119,600
