Role: Quality Engineer - Aerospace

An ambitious, fast-scaling player in the aerospace, space, and defense sector is seeking a Quality Engineer to join its UK-based production team focused on structural airframe components. The Role
As a Quality Engineer, you will report directly to the Quality Manager and play a key role in maintaining and improving product and process quality. You’ll interface with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to uphold the highest standards in compliance and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
- Lead and support RCCA and NCR processes address non-conforming product issues with robust corrective actions.
- Communicate effectively with both suppliers and customers regarding quality-related concerns.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and quality procedures.
- Review and manage customer and regulatory specifications.
- Manage and maintain the internal calibration system.
- Perform scheduled internal audits and support external audits.
- Contribute to KPI reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a Quality Engineering role within the aerospace industry
- Certified AS9100 internal auditor.
- Strong working knowledge of AS9100 QMS requirements.
- Exceptional communication and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with standard IT tools and documentation systems.
- Self-driven, proactive, and values-led individual.
