Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Air Dominance Proprietary Program Systems Engineering team in Berkeley, Mo is seeking a Lead Model-Based Systems Engineering Architect to lead the system architecture development for one of multiple Weapon System Segments on the program.
The candidate will work with the Integrated Product Teams to define and develop the product’s system architecture from initial design to product verification, including development and maintenance of requirements, interfaces, and behaviors for the product. As part of the Program’s Model-Based Systems Engineering Team, the candidate will refine and implement system modeling best practices on the program, in coordination with the Lead Model Architect for the program. The candidate will also support development and implementation of open architecture standards
Position Responsibilities:
Lead the cross-functional engineering teams in developing one of the Weapon System Segment’s Architecture to meet program commitments, including model-based design reviews
Lead the cross-functional team to define and maintain the Segment’s requirements, interfaces, behaviors, and verification requirements
Leverage Systems Engineering and MBSE experience to define, implement, and maintain the MBSE approach to meet the customer’s digital engineering requirements
Integrate the segment with other Weapon System segments
Responsible for the delivery of the integrated segment architecture model
Apply interdisciplinary, collaborative approaches to plan, design, develop and verify complex systems solutions
Establish, maintain, and demonstrate traceability between tools within the Digital Engineering Environment
Guide the team in implementing open architecture standards
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Travel may be required up to 10 of the time; Domestically depending on business needs.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
9+ years of work related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s or 7+ years of work related engineering experience with a Master’s or 4+ years of work related engineering experience with a PhD
3+ years’ experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as CAMEO or similar Systems Modeling Language (SysML)-compatible tool for systems architecture and model development
Experience/domain knowledge of system architecture, requirements, interface definition, verification, and validation
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Breadth of experience across technical domains and life cycle phases
Experience working on proprietary programs
Experience with Mission Systems architectures and Open Missions Systems (OMS) and/or Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI)
Experience with military aircraft
Experience with Ground Systems or Training Systems for military platforms
Experience in developing Digital Engineering Environments

Summary pay range: $119,850 - $162,150
