The Boeing Company Mobility Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) team is looking for a Mid-Level Ship-Side Support Structural Stress Analyst Engineer to join the KC-46 Structures Team based in Everett WA (primary) or Tukwila, WA (secondary).
Position Responsibilities:
- Develops, integrates and documents structural requirements to establish the system design.
- Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the products environment.
- Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
- Develops test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
- Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.
- Work under minimal direction
- Candidate to be familiar with classic hand analysis and computerized methods (standardized templates, finite element modeling) to calculate stresses and margins for static and fatigue conditions to develop and verify new designs or in a MRB support role for aircrafts. Candidate to provide Strength Check Notes (SCNs) for using the current/updated loads model for the aircraft that show customer, regulatory, and Boeing structural strength requirements have been met. Familiarity with Static, Fatigue and Damage Tolerant design and margin assessments
- Candidate to be familiar with tools such as CATIA V5, Enovia, NASTRAN, PATRAN, ABAQUS, CASTLE,
FEADMS, APARD, IAS, CSW, XSA, FAMOSS, MOSS-Duberg (MD), IDTAS, EMDS, PSDS and REDARS .
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Experience with classic hand analysis and computerized methods (standardized templates, finite element modeling) to calculate stresses and margins for static and fatigue conditions
- 5 or more years of experience as a Structural Analysis Engineer
- 5 or more years of CATIA V5 experience do you have
- Basic understanding of structural engineering fundamentals including airframe/component design and materials
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 5 or more years of experience Static, Fatigue and or Damage Tolerant design requirements and margin assessments within requirements of Structural Analysis of Airframe.
- 3 or more years of Analysis and Documentation of as build factory/fleet support or repair analysis to meet compliance.
- 2 or more years of working with Design, Stress and Factory Laision

Summary Pay Range: $102,000 – 138,000
