Description:You will be the Evolutionary Development Manufacturing Engineer Senior for Wire Harness Assembly in Lufkin Production Operations. The Lufkin Evolutionary Development Manufacturing Engineering Team supports the early and redesign development phase of multiple programs. The engineer will support an immediate team of Production Operators/Supervisors and Manufacturing, Quality, and Industrial Engineers; and will be required to regularly interface with a broader team of Program Management and Design Engineering functions as needed
What You Will Be Doing
As a Manufacturing Engineer Sr., you will be responsible for building prototypes, developing initial manufacturing processes, and creating work instructions. You will also be responsible for working with design engineering to improve the manufacturability of early on designs. Your responsibilities will include:
• Interpreting technical data, such as drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and product specifications
• Hands-on building of wire harnesses that are in the early design phase.
• Providing technical support to shop floor personnel.
• Developing and managing manufacturing processes and detailed work instructions.
• Implementing engineering design changes.
• Validating tooling.
This position may require up to 10 overtime annually in support of program execution.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Ability to obtain a secret security clearance, must be US Citizen.
• Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620, 508-11-61 or equivalent.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience in supporting or leading teams of multiple functions.
Desired Skills:
• Ability to fabricate wire harness assemblies prototypes.
• Ability to create BOMs and Work Instructions in SAP/Windchill.
• Experience with validating and integrating new equipment into Work Instructions.
• Basic understanding of PLV (Product Line Validations) processes.
• Basic understanding of Transition to Production processes.
• Ability to anticipate and proactively mitigate production delays.
• Experience in coordinating projects for process improvements.
• Experience executing or interpreting HPU reports or data.
• Basic understanding of PFMEAs.
• 5 years of Professional Experience

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
