Position Summary
Under limited/minimal supervision, the Automation Engineer is an experienced role that is responsible for robotic programming, troubleshooting and simulation. May be responsible for developing and deploying capital projects.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for robotic programming, troubleshooting, and simulation
- Responsible for creating and troubleshooting ladder logic, function block and structured text
- Integration of equipment from design, controls, mechanical system to final production
- Will work on tool design and troubleshoot
- Coordinate project stages, task tracking and reporting
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (electrical engineering preferred) with 2-5 years of experience
- AutoCAD electrical drawing or equivalent required, 3D modeling preferred
- Experience with Fanuc, ABB, Kuka preferred
- Experience creating and troubleshooting ladder logic, function block, structured text - PLC
- Networking experience - manufacturing execution system (Ignition or FT - Optics, Kepware, SQL)
- Experience working with automated equipment
- Experience with capital requests
- Lean manufacturing and cell concepts are a plus
