Job Title: Avionics Technician A (6th Shift)

Join a team where precision meets performance.

We are hiring immediately for full-time Avionics Technician A in our Service Center. Join us for 6thshift, this position comes with an added benefit of a shift differential.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you can expect to troubleshoot and repair advanced avionics systems, perform functional and in-flight testing, and ensure compliance with FAA and FCC standards. You’ll install and modify cutting-edge equipment while collaborating with pilots and mentoring junior technicians. If you’re passionate about precision and staying ahead in avionics technology, this is your opportunity to make an impact. Your responsibilities may include (but not limited to):

Diagnose & Repair Avionics Systems: Troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective avionics units and wiring using schematics, blueprints, and service bulletins

Perform Functional Testing: Conduct in-flight and ground tests to isolate issues, verify repairs, and certify compliance with FAA and FCC regulations

Install & Modify Systems: Execute wiring build-ups, aircraft installations, and system modifications to meet customer and regulatory requirements

Ensure Compliance & Documentation: Complete final testing, sign off discrepancy sheets, and maintain adherence to all FAA and FCC standards

Stay Current & Mentor Others: Update technical knowledge on latest avionics developments and provide guidance to junior technicians when needed

Collaborate During Flight Tests: Accompany pilots on test flights to validate system functionality and alignment

Qualifications

What you need to be successful:

High school diploma or equivalent; two years of college or technical school preferred

Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft avionics systems troubleshooting and repair

Broad knowledge of electronics and proficiency with test equipment

Familiarity with avionics systems including communication, navigation, autopilot, flight director, and pulse equipment (DME, transponder, weather radar)

Ability to meet FAA and FCC repair station requirements * *
