Job Description

The incumbent will be responsible for planning and tracking training activities for Technical Operations personnel and the Integrated Operations Center (IOC). This includes scheduling participants and instructors (as required), booking training facilities, and performing all other related training coordination tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain procedures and policies to ensure that all required training is properly scheduled and completed by employees.
  • Generate and analyze reports to develop short-term and long-term forecasts of training needs.
  • Develop and communicate monthly training schedules for Technical Operations and the Integrated Operations Center (IOC), in compliance with Transport Canada regulations, collective agreement requirements, Air Transat standards, and other operational needs.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure training schedules meet expectations.
  • Monitor and assess training certification expiry dates to ensure employees remain qualified while on duty.
  • Update the Learning Management System (LMS) and the Quality Management System (QMS) as required.
  • Ensure that training sessions are completed and tracked, and reschedule as needed.
  • Book all required training facilities.
  • Coordinate with external instructors to schedule training and align training requirements, when applicable.
  • Provide reports and data to management and stakeholders, as needed.
  • Manage and communicate departmental needs related to training facilities (e.g., IT issues, room cleanliness, faulty equipment, etc.).
  • Conduct research and propose innovative solutions and opportunities to improve training planning and communication processes.
  • Perform any other training-related duties as assigned by the Manager, Training Administration and Control.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • College diploma in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Relevant experience in airline operations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Forms, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proven ability to efficiently execute projects within established timelines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and meticulous documentation and reporting practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness.
  • Outstanding team spirit.
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and propose process improvement recommendations.
  • Assets: Working knowledge of maintenance software (AMOS), Quality Management Systems (Pelesys), Transport Canada regulations, and applicable collective agreements.
  • Bilingual (French and English), both spoken and written*.

*A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders in Quebec, the rest of Canada, and internationally.
