Position Summary
Basic Function/Essential Duties:
• Provide Technical/Customer Support in one or more of the below disciplines o Industrial & Mobile Hydraulics o Truck Hydraulics o Pneumatics o Fluid Connector Products o Hydraulic/Pneumatic Cylinders• Answer and respond to internal and external customer inquiries while maintaining a high customer satisfaction level through phone, email and CRM support• Provide application assistance• Provide product selection, competitive part number cross referencing• Load new product part numbers into Parker’s operating system• Load product shop orders (Conversions)• Communicate effectively with all internal and external customers.• Develop and maintain relationships with source division(s)• Identify tactical lean opportunities and develop corrective initiatives to achieve department continuous improvement goals• Perform other duties/tasks as assigned• Understand the Parker WIN Strategy
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
• Post secondary education in Applied Technology or Engineering • Minimum 1-year related work experience
Certifications:
• Fluid Power Certificate is an asset
Skills: • Proficient at reading drawings and specifications• Advanced computer skills – Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills for effective interaction with all internal and external contacts• Ability to prioritize, meet commitments, take ownership, problem solve and be proactive while working in a team environment and providing excellent customer service• Change agent• Superior follow up and organizational skills• Adaptability and flexibility combined with a commitment to accuracy• Ability to work independently with minimum direction• Bilingual in English and French is an asset
